Thank you so much to the Flexcon Corp. for the $250 donation that brings us closer to our barn goal!
Turn Back Time has been awarded $5,000 by Staples Foundation, the private charitable arm of Staples, Inc., through a program called 2 Million & Change that allows Staples associates around the globe to direct donations in the total amount of about $2 million each year.
“This grant brings us closer to our goal of building a barn to provide and indoor space for yearlong opportunities to achieve our mission which is to improve the lives of children with disabilities through nature exploration, farm education and and play and to give young adults with disabilities a diverse environment for job skills training” Lisa Burris – Executive Director
Created in 2012, the 2 Million & Change program is a philanthropic initiative created by Staples Foundation which allows Staples associates around the world to direct funding to non-profit organizations of their choosing that are focused on education or job skills. The program encourages local community engagement by awarding larger grants to organizations where associates are highly engaged in volunteering or fundraising – up to $25,000 per organization.
In 2015, associates globally directed more than $2.5 million of Staples Foundation grants to 875 non-profit organizations.
“For 30 years, Staples associates have been making a difference in their communities around the world,” said John Burke, chief culture officer, Staples, Inc., “We’re thrilled that the 2 Million & Change program lets our associate make an even greater impact on the organizations they are passionate about.”

Did you know that the National Wildlife foundation reports the average American child spends 35 hours a week in front of some sort of screen? In 2016 Turn Back Time’s summer camp hosted over 150 children giving them the opportunity to explore our 58 acre homestead, including a working farm, nature playground, beaver pond and extensive trail system.
Turn Back Time is in phase two of our fund-raising efforts to raise enough money to build a barn, with accessory use classroom. This indoor space will allow us to provide year round programs to more participants, increasing our nature exposure hours from 7,500 to over 19,000.
Joining our fund-raising team communicates not only that you believe in the our program, but that you believe in helping us reach greater numbers of participants.
